Ben didn't get involved in theatre until later in his high school career; he was a dedicated band kid. However, one day he and his band kid buddies saw an audition notice for the school musical,  West Side Story, and thought, "I think I'll audition for that." The band kids took the show by storm. They thieved all the pre-cast roles that the chorus kids planned out, with Ben getting Riff. There was much weeping and gnashing of teeth in that violent coup but everyone became fast friends after that. Thus began Ben's career in theatre, as well as his career in, "Hey I didn't know I could do that, but I just did it!" Which continues to this day.
     Ben has been performing across the country for the past several years now, acting from regional productions to national tours. He enjoys getting out and seeing as many states as he can while he's still able, though he does prefer being south of the Mason-Dixon line solely for the sweet tea. You can take the gentleman out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the gentleman.
